After centuries of baiting and demonizing, in the throes of individualistic splendour and self-determination symbolized by the lifestyle of late 20th-century San Francisco, the seeds of rebellion sparking anti-Christian innovation led to the invention of a church devoted to the veneration of Satan, or so it let the world think. Standing more and more firmly with secular humanism and psycho-dramatic, self-directed therapies, the foundation for a religion purported by early Satanism was stridently dedicated to overturning conventions in religious contexts both by symbolism and process.
