Vampires

Whether associated to bats or the Underworld, the history of famous and fictional vampiry mainly settles on pain, horror, and parasitic vengeance for a condition never attained. The stuff of graveyard legends, the wake of Vlad Tepes, the horrors of Stoker's Transylvanian count (draconic, undead, and supernatural), have become the focus of the Great Martyrdom Cult, disrupting Christian moral panics and subversion ideologies by legitimating the rhetoric of condemnation and deadly accusation.

After the religious witches and the religious satanists made their play for legitimizing, vampires, werewolves, and demons were on the agenda.
