Inversion

Inversion is a style of fiction which requires derivative original material so as to somehow change out the antagonist for the protagonist, or provide a contextual balance so as to make the antagonist from a previous book understandable and amenable to use as a protagonist.

Recent years have seen a number of inversion texts from Grimm's and other folk or children's tales, as well as some religious materials.
