Armageddon

A fictional projected World War in which Christians proclaim that they will win the war in which they are a participant fighting their eternal foe(s). In general it is part of what is called apocalyptic writing and the primary fulcrum of instigation for this violent scourge is the text "The Revelation of John", apparently written by John of Patmos as a socio-political diatribe and used to stir up fear and war drums ever since.
