An autobiographical book written by the Catholic psychiatrist Lawrence Pazder about his and his patient's 'recovered memories of satanic ritual abuse by nefarious cultists into whose hands she allegedly fell as a child, and which memories she had recuperated due to therapy. The rites included warehousing of young women, their impregnation, and the use of their forced progeny as sacrifices in a network connected also with abductions and child abuse.

Since Pazder was a professional, his research and assertions were taken seriously by the psychological community, and this was used by the purveyors of instructive seminar-salespeople to "inform" civil authorities toward greater fear and projection of Christian nightmares.
