God of This World

A criticism applied to the Satan being of the canonical gospel texts in the Christian New Testament, its world-fused aspects applied well when Satanists adopted it for their veneration object or symbol of inspiration.

In such Satanic works as the Gospel of Satan, this was espoused (albeit as part of fiction) in a specific and direct sense, with the Satan god dwelling in the Underworld as an apparently indigenous resident. The Temptation of conventional Christianity also seems to imply access if not control over the terrestrial sphere by the Underworld Lord.
