But >please classify yourself to me to I can group by background.... independent Satanist. >How do you understand "magic". Do you look at it from a scientific >point of view? Or more of a supernatural one. Depending on which view >you hold, please elaborate on WHY you feel the way you do. magic is intentional manipulation of the world through symbolic means. scientific -- yes. consult: http://www.luckymojo.com/avidyana/gnostik/lscire.tn to which I'd enjoy responses. I am still looking for careful analysis of what might constitute 'the artistic method' (TAM). supernatural -- this word has never meant much to me, for it posits a superior force to natural forces (one for which I have seen no evidence). >Creation. no need for an origination myth by my understanding. those who require one commit the fallacy of Argument By Design from modern religious philosophy. the Big Bang theory is simply that, and it describes what can be observed thusfar with scientific instrumentation. it concerns origination only inasmuch as it displays the limitations of our PERCEPTION, beyond which we cannot presently see, and only *possibly* the beginning of all things. the present material universe may have instead been an expulsion from some other place (cf. Thorne, or as described by Asimov: It is quite possible [supposing the total mass of the universe is 2.5 times as large as it seems to astronomers to be] that the entire universe is itself a black hole (as has been suggested by the physicist Kip Thorne). If it is, then very likely it has always been a black hole and will always be a black hole. If that is so, we live within a black hole, and if we want to know what conditions are like in a black hole -- provided it is extremely massive --- we have but to look around. ========================================================== "The Ultimate Black Hole", Isaac Asimov's article in The Saturday Evening Post, April 1980; p. 29. ----------------------------------------------------------) which leaves the question of the ORIGIN of this universe unknown until we obtain further evidence. we have never witnessed this fantastic and miraculous 'origination' or 'creation' of anything. >I am sure each person has a particular "goal" or path in life that >pretty much guides their actions to an extent. What is yours? Why >are these things important to you? staying true to myself is important to me because I've felt a general pressure from others to perform according to their desires; affording the respect due others is important to me because I have sympathy for my kindred's feelings and needs. remaining expressive and activating is also my path, in service to the needs of Satan. serving Satan via my blood pact is important to all of us, though we might wish to ignore it or hope it stops being true. life is not human- centric or artificially-supportable at present levels of population density indefinitely. without a change in consumption and reproduction levels, you can expect more and more of our kindred to perish as SPECIES. I care about Satan (wild nature), and I hope that you will too. >History. Is history important? Do you pay attention to the news? Do you >feel it can be changed? history is as important as you have success in deciphering it. >Family. What are your feelings on friends and family? Responsibilty? >Duty? To both your children (if you have any) and to your parents. responsibility friends; I have few close human friends. I love the squirrels, birds, gophers, snakes, spiders, insects, shrubs, bushes, and trees whom I happen to meet on my travels. one of my closer friends is canine, a few feline. the nonhuman friends I feel I have a responsibility to by virtue of advocating the reduction human population, consumption patterns and destructive habits (e.g. war) that decimate incredible treasures and paradises. I have a responsibility to reduce the numbers of my feline and canine friends also, so as not to incapacitate the local biosphere with their predatory and vicious activities. family; I share with my wife catya my greatest portion of my time that I am not alone. I love my family greatly (and these aren't just biological connections) and wish to protect and serve their needs within my capacity. we are a very independent clan, so it is rare that any of us ask for support unless we truly need it, but when the call rings out, I hope my reponse is quickest. those members of my biological family who have dropped out of contact I may never see again. this includes my father. I have no children, having seen fit to align my words and deeds by having had a vasectomy when in my 20s. >Spirituality. Do you consider yourself a "spiritual" person? ... >If you feel you are, why and how? How do others spirituality and >religion affect you? spirituality is a function of sustainable experiential quality. this can be emphasized or focussed upon (often in mysticism). I have found mystical disciplines to be valuable influences on my experience (as in giving me more subjective options, enlarging my patience an my ability to enjoy a greater diversity of experiences). broadening my emotional and intuitive envelope, spiritual activities have been quite helpful at times in my growth. I find the spirituality of others palatable as long as it doesn't include attempting to affect me directly. religion is more problematic in that it tends to become political rather quickly and delve into ignorance, arrogance, and bigotry disguised as spirituality. >Death. The great unknown. What happens when we die? If anything? What >happens to you when someone else dies? discorporation, a disintegration into component parts. all we can tell is that consciousness dissapates and the 'person' dissembles. when someone else dies we lose connection with a person we knew, and may experience loss or sadness or whatever we might feel when anything we've known disintegrates or is lost to us. blessed beast! boboroshi Satanic Outreach Director, Church of Euthanasia (http://www.churchofeuthanasia.org/) -- mailto:nagasiva@luckymojo.com ; http://www.luckymojo.com/nagasiva.html mailto:boboroshi@satanservice.org ; http://www.satanservice.org/ emailed replies may be posted; cc replies if response desired; FREE HOODOO CATALOGUE! send street address to: catalogue@luckymojo.com
